Board Meeting Procedural Changes
Board Meeting Procedural Changes
Mrs. Fricke
Friday, April 17, 2020

The Mount Pulaski School Board will conduct their first public board meeting since the closure of schools on March 17th.  Because of public restrictions, the school district cannot conduct board meetings under normal parameters due to concerns for public safety.  The Monday, April 20, 2020, Regular Meeting of the Mount Pulaski Board of Education will be held in the cafeteria at Mount Pulaski High School to allow for appropriate social distancing.  These changes in procedures will be followed:

Only 10 people, including Board Members, will be allowed to be present at the meeting.
A waiting room with up to 10 more people will be available for staff and visitors wishing to address the Board.

Any person(s) wishing to attend the Board Meeting should email the district at sfarris@mtpulaski.k12.il.us after 12:00 PM Friday, April 17th and prior to 3:00 PM, Monday April 20th.  Slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Members of the public who are unable to attend may submit a written communication that will be reviewed, presented and read to the Board if appropriate.

All written submissions must be emailed to sfarris@mtpulaski.k12.il.us between the hours of 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM on Monday, April 20, 2020.

The Board Meeting will be streamed on Facebook live via the Mt. Pulaski High School Facebook page for the public. To view, search @mtpulaskiHS.

Due to construction constraints, visitors will enter the building through the southwest entrance.

Changes in procedures have been made possible by alterations in board policy and the Open Meetings Act resulting from the pandemic crisis.  Board members may choose to be in attendance in person, through voice call or video interface.

The district and Board of Education thank you for your understanding and flexibility in these challenging times.

Please contact the district office if you have questions.
