Career Fair

The students of MPHS had an amazing opportunity today to interact with several local individuals in our Career Fair! This was a great chance for our students to gain insights into future careers, to ask questions of professionals, and to research topics of interest. We truly appreciate everyone's participation in this event.

Bethany Rademacher, Vice President of Events and Marketing for the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois, served as our keynote speaker for the event. She discussed the importance of each student knowing their elevator speech, their three best qualities, and the importance of positive talk. She also imparted students with knowledge regarding the do’s and don'ts of interviewing, how to interact with potential employers, and the “how to” and value of networking. We are thankful to Mrs. Rademacher for sharing her insights with our students and for helping to set them off with a good tone for the activities of the day.

Following the keynote address, students had the opportunity to attend career information sessions in multiple fields based on their own interests. Following the sessions, the students wrapped up their day with a reflection activity to discover their next steps in their future career journey.
