STUDENT HANDBOOK

Dear Students and Families of Mount Pulaski CUSD #23,

Welcome to a new school year full of opportunities to stretch our talents, improve our achievements and reap the rewards of our efforts! The Board of Education, administration, teachers and staff of Mount Pulaski Schools are excited to have you back in our hallways and classrooms. We all have renewed our focus on our student’s success and our commitment to our community so our students may be all that they can be.

Our district vision is to be an innovative, high-performing community that produces globally-minded, influential citizens. We want to achieve this vision by engaging and inspiring students to become mindful and productive citizens, promoting growth and success for all.

This vision and mission are reflected in our district strategic plan, district improvement plan and school improvement plans. Our district leadership is committed to maintaining focus on the systems and practices that align to these plans and propel our student’s achievement.

A key component of that focus is our universal expectations that are communicated to our students and families through our school handbooks. Please take the time to become familiar with our district expectations that allow our students and staff to be successful.

The final key to our improvement and success is our relationship with all stakeholders, including students, families and our community. Mount Pulaski Schools wish to form a collaborative relationship with all stakeholders to achieve our goal of developing globally minded and influential citizens.

We look forward to a fantastic school year full of achievement, memories and fulfilled expectations! Good luck in all your endeavors and “Go Bruins & Honeybears”!

Respectfully,

Fredrick A Lamkey, Mount Pulaski CUSD 23 Superintendent
