SUMMER SCHOOL

MPHS is hosting our own summer school program for credit recovery. Summer school is the only option offered by MPHS for credit recovery.

If a student fails at least one class required by MPHS and the state of Illinois for graduation, that student may attend summer school to make up the credit instead of having to re-take it next school year.  Summer school courses are offered in an online format only.

This year, summer school will run from May 30 - July 23 (Tuesday through Sunday). Summer school students are expected to return their Chromebooks to the office on Monday, July 24, between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

There is a small fee associated with Summer School:

  • If the student does not qualify for free/reduced lunch: $50 for a full year class, $25 for a semester class

  • If the student qualifies for reduced lunch: $10 for a full year class, $5 for a semester class

  • Free for any student who qualifies for free lunch
