Alexis Wade, daughter of Kristen and Tanker Wade, has been named April-Senior-of-the-month at Mount Pulaski High School. She was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

            For all 4 years at MPHS Alexis has participated in Basketball, Volleyball, Student Council, and served as a class officer. She has also participated in Track and Field, Academic Challenge, and NHS for 2 years.

            Alexis has received numerous awards and recognitions during her high school career. In Academic Challenge the team earned First Place in Regionals and Alexis won first place in the individual regional. The girls’ basketball team was regional champions in 2022 and 2023. She also was an AP all-State honorable mention recipient, 1,500 point scorer, 3 times All-Conference team, Clinton Turkey Tussle MVP, Holiday Express All-Tournament team, 2 time Riverton Christmas Classic All-Tournament team, Primetime performer and player of the week. In Volleyball, she has been a 2 time Conference 1st team member and was on the Pana Tournament 1st team.

            Alexis has also helped with a variety of community service projects, including a community food drive, Ronald McDonald House pop tab program, supervising bouncy houses and cleaning up during Fall Festival, coaching club volleyball, town-wide clean up, and Ladies Professional Golf Association staff.

            Alexis plans to attend Lincoln Land Community College in the fall to continue her academic and athletic career. She plans to transfer to a 4-year university to study pre-medicine to one day become an Orthopedic Surgeon.
