Grace Davis, daughter of Jennifer and Ryan Davis, has been named December-Senior-of-the-month at Mount Pulaski High School.

During her time at MPHS Grace has stayed actively involved in numerous sports and activities. She has played Basketball for 4 years, currently serving as the team captain. She made the Tomahawk All-Conference Team in 9th-11th grade and made the Riverton Christmas Classic All-Tournament Team in 10th and 11th grade. During her time on the team, they have also won Regionals and made Sweet 16 (Junior year), won the Clinton Turkey Tussle (Freshman year), won the Meridian Holiday Tournament (Sophomore year), and were the Tomahawk All-Conference champs Sophomore and Junior year. Grace has also played Volleyball for 4 years, serving as a team captain this year. She has been named a part of the Tomahawk All-Conference team Junior and Senior years, named to the All-Area Decatur Herald and Review team her Junior year, and named the Springfield Area’s High School Volley Player to Know in 2023.

Grace has also participated in FFA for 4 years, earning numerous recognitions such as 4th place in prepared speaking, 10th place in the agronomy contest, 3rd place in land use, 2nd place with the Parliamentary Procedure team, 5th place Section 14 in Agribusiness, and won the Section 14 Record Book Proficiency competition, which qualified her to compete at state. She currently serves as FFA Secretary, holding the office of Reporter and Ag Ambassador in previous years.

Grace has also participated in NHS for 2 years, a member of FCCLA. She was a Homecoming attendant for 4 years, and has been on High Honors all 4 years. She also earned the title of Top Chef in Nutrition class her Junior year and won the Voice of Democracy essay competition.

Grace has also helped with Freshman Bootcamp, MPHS Day of Service, Christmas on Vinegar Hill, coaching Pre-K Volleyball, MPHS Spanish Club coffee shop, and participated in the crash reenactment in May 2023. Outside of school Grace helps with Mt. Pulaski Christian Church Vacation Bible School and did Trick or Treating for canned goods. She also works at Vonderleith as a dietary aide.

Grace plans to attend college and major in Speech Pathology.
