Charity Woodford, daughter of Jason and Traci Woodford and Kelli Owens, has been named January-Senior-of-the-Month at Mount Pulaski High School.
During her time at MPHS, Charity has been a member of several sports and organizations. For 4 years she played Soccer and was a member of Academic Challenge and Scholastic Bowl. Charity has also participated in FCCLA and Science Olympiad for 3 years, and Drama Club for 2 years.
Charity has been on Honor Roll every semester of high school. She was also named an Illinois State Scholar for the class of 2026.
Outside of school, Charity is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Normal, where she is involved in several things including, Youth Group Bake Sales, Easter Breakfast, Mission Trips to Kentucky, Nursery Worker, and being a Church Camp counselor.
Her future plans are to attend Illinois State University to become an Elementary Teacher.
The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by the Mount Pulaski Education Association and Downing, Przykopanski, Clements, & May Insurance Agency, Inc. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award sponsored by INB.
