Mount Pulaski FCCLA hosted and attended the Section 6 Meeting today at the Mount Pulaski Family Life Center. Over 150 people attended from 8 area schools. During the day they heard a keynote presentation from Garrett LeVault, attended workshops, competed in events, and participated in elections. It was a successful day with the Parliamentary Procedure Team (Juan, Ryder, Conner, Jackson, Noah, Lily) earning a Gold rating and both the Promote and Publicize Team (Meridith, Logan, and Adison) and our Sports Nutrition competitor (Jeremiah) earning Silver ratings. All advance to State Competition. Additionally, Juan and Noah were elected to serve at Section 6 officers for the next year AND Juan received a vote of affirmation to move on to State to run for State Office. Whew...what a full day and what a great group!

With 65% of the class dressed-up, the juniors took first place again yesterday, followed by the freshmen, then the sophomores! The all-out points were really hard to award ; we ended up awarding 1st place to Andrea Noltensmeier, 2nd place to Roxxi Galassi, and split 3rd place among Vincent Tabor, Elise Lawson, and Charity Woodford.
Last night, the freshmen took the points for having the largest percentage of the class in attendance at the scholastic bowl meet and girls basketball game, with 40% in attendance. In second place were the juniors, and in third place were the seniors.
With those new totals, the juniors still hold onto the lead with 101.5 points, followed by the sophomores with 57.5. However, the freshmen overtook the seniors today and now occupy 3rd place with 50 over the seniors’ 42.5 points.
