Happy School Counseling Week!

We are so grateful for our school counselors who support students academically, socially, and emotionally each and every day. Thank you for being listeners, encouragers, problem-solvers, and champions for our students. Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and our school is better because of you, Miss Hinson and Mrs. Mott!

With 65% of the class dressed-up, the juniors took first place again yesterday, followed by the freshmen, then the sophomores! The all-out points were really hard to award ; we ended up awarding 1st place to Andrea Noltensmeier, 2nd place to Roxxi Galassi, and split 3rd place among Vincent Tabor, Elise Lawson, and Charity Woodford. Last night, the freshmen took the points for having the largest percentage of the class in attendance at the scholastic bowl meet and girls basketball game, with 40% in attendance. In second place were the juniors, and in third place were the seniors. With those new totals, the juniors still hold onto the lead with 101.5 points, followed by the sophomores with 57.5. However, the freshmen overtook the seniors today and now occupy 3rd place with 50 over the seniors’ 42.5 points.

Topper Week started today with "Backwards Day." The juniors barely edged out the sophomores for most dressed overall with 61% of juniors dressed up compared to 60% of sophomores. However, sophomore Erich Marinich won his class 10 additional points with his "all-out" effort! So after day one, the sophomores are in the lead with 25 points, followed by the juniors with 20, the seniors with 10, and the freshman with five. Tomorrow is College Day! Step it up! Also, make plans right now to attend the home girls game on Thursday (which is also Senior Night!) and the home boys game on Friday!

Due to the forecasted low temperatures and dangerous wind chills, we will be utilizing an eLearning day tomorrow, Monday, January 26, 2026. LTEC will also be e-learning tomorrow.

Armstrong has already cancelled school and all after-school activities for tomorrow, so there will be no girls' basketball game. Our F/S boys' basketball game against Auburn has also been cancelled.

All extracurricular practices for tomorrow are to be determined, but there are no cancellations at this time.
