As a reminder, students will be dismissed at both buildings as follows on Friday, September 3:
Grade School - 11:24 a.m.
High School - 11:30 a.m.
Additionally, there is no school on Monday, September 6.

There is an informational meeting this Wednesday, 9/1, for any student in grades 6 through 12 (and their parents) interested in participating on the MP Shotgun Sports Team (trap/skeet shooting). The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the High School cafeteria. You may enter through the front lobby doors between 5:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. If you arrive after 6:15 p.m., you will need to proceed around to the side cafeteria doors.

Hey Toppers, here are some reminders to start your day off right tomorrow:
1) Wear your mask properly.
2) Bring a clear water bottle full of water. Our filling stations are open, but the drinking fountains are closed.
3) Drivers - Park in your designated spot & enter at the doors labeled “Gym Entrance.” The doors unlock at 7:45 am.
4) The tardy bell rings at 8:00 am, so set those alarm clocks.

We are starting the year off in masks, so please help us by conversing with your student about wearing the mask properly (covering the nose and mouth) while inside of the school building and while on school transportation. Thank you!

Fees may be paid online through TeacherEase or in-person in the office. The office is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Schedule changes are done in-person only. Students can call the office (217-792-3209) to schedule an appointment with Miss Hinson.
At this time, all individuals entering the building are mandated to wear a mask. Additionally, all individuals on school transport are required to wear a mask.
Wednesday, August 18, is Freshman Orientation. We will begin with a short presentation in the main gym at 1:30 p.m. Then, you will be allowed to practice your locker combinations, organize your lockers, and walk your class schedules. Before leaving, you will pick up your chromebook in the office. Freshman may leave as soon as they are comfortable doing so.
Wednesday, August 18 - Returning students are welcome to come into the building from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. to organize lockers, pick up chromebooks, select a parking space, and pick up a parking permit.
Thursday, August 19 & Friday, August 20 - LTECH begins. LTECH students were sent a separate communication last week regarding bus times.
Thursday, August 19 & Friday, August 20 - The office/building will be completely closed. All staff are reporting to mandatory training.
Monday, August 23 - FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! The doors open at 7:45 a.m. and the tardy bell rings at 8:00 a.m. Students interested in breakfast should head straight to the cafeteria upon entry. As a reminder, breakfast and lunch are free for everyone this school year! Student drivers will enter the building from the parking lot at the new "GYM ENTRANCE." Those doors will automatically unlock at 7:45 a.m. for entry.

There is a mandatory parent & player meeting on Wednesday, August 4, at 6:00 pm at Mt. Pulaski High School. The meeting will be outside in the front of the building on the steps in front of the 1912 stonework.
Any High School student interested in golfing this school year should be in attendance with a parent or legal guardian. Paperwork will be distributed. To participate, students must be fully registered for school at MPHS, must have all fees (registration and golf) paid, have a parent/guardian attend a sports meeting, and have sports paperwork completed and turned in.

Freshman & New Student Orientation will be at 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm on Wednesday, August 18. Parents of these students are also allowed to attend (though parent attendance is not mandatory). We will discuss expectations, the upcoming year, allow students a chance to run through their schedules and practice with their lockers. Students may also bring in their school supplies to place in their lockers. More details to come...but mark your calendar now!

There is a meeting for girls interested in playing high school volleyball this fall on Monday, July 12, at 6 PM. This is for players and parents. Please park in the west lot and enter via the “Gym Entrance.” The doors will automatically unlock 15 minutes prior to the meeting time. Upon entering, proceed to the new Multipurpose gym for the meeting. Unvaccinated individuals are required to properly wear a mask in public schools at this time. We appreciate your help in complying with current guidelines.
