Christmas on Vinegar Hill is almost here, and our PASE Cookie Walk is always a community favorite! We’re asking each MPGS family to donate 2–4 dozen homemade baked goods — cookies, brownies, breads, muffins, snack mix, or other treats. 🍞🧁🍫
📅 Drop-Off Times:
• Friday, Nov. 21 – Office during school hours or after 3:10 PM in the cafeteria (use back doors off Scott St.)
• Saturday, Nov. 22 – 7–9 AM at the cafeteria doors
Please package items in non-returnable containers and label anything that’s gluten-free.
All proceeds benefit PASE, which supports so many great programs for our students!

For the safety of all students, we are asking that no parents park directly in front of the school at the end of the day. If you are picking up your child, please park on the side streets or further down on Garden Street—not directly in front of the building, even if the barricades have not been placed yet.
We have students walking in the street to meet their parents or to walk home, and cars pulling out of parking spots during dismissal creates a dangerous situation. Keeping the area in front of the school clear helps ensure that students can exit safely and that traffic can move smoothly.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep all students safe during dismissal. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Calling all Veterans! We certainly hope that you're able to visit with us next Tuesday. During your visit, we would like some (or all!) of you to read to our students. Please send me an email (janderso@mtpulaski.k12.il.us) if you're interested! In your email, please let me know what time would work best for you! Your choices are 9:10 - 9:30, 9:35 - 9:55, 10:00 - 10:20, or 10:25 - 10:45. Thanks a bunch!! 🇺🇸
Mount Pulaski Grade School will host a Veteran’s Day Assembly on Tuesday, November 11, at 8:30 a.m. in the gymnasium.
We kindly ask families to let us know if a Veteran and their family members will be attending so we can ensure enough reserved seating. Seats will be reserved for Veterans and their families; all other guests are welcome to sit in the bleachers.
To ensure a safe and smooth morning for our students, doors will not open before 8:15 a.m. Students must first be dropped off and enter the building before guests arrive.
If you are attending, please wait to park until after 8:00 a.m. so that our student drop-off line can continue to move efficiently.
We look forward to honoring our Veterans and celebrating their service with you.
