The Pie in the Face Fundraiser for Parker Swaar was a HUGE success. MPGS raised $1360 to donate to Parker's family. Parker is an 8th grader from Illini Central Middles School who was badly injured at a track meet last week. Parker's Dad, Ryan was here this morning to receive the donation. The "Pie Throwers" were drawn randomly from the tickets they purchased. Maebri and Madalynn threw at Mr. A. Grayson and Morgan threw at Mrs. Switzer. Mrs. Lora also got in on the action with a pie in the face by Jaydin. We added a bonus, Piper in KB, donated the largest sum of money so she got to throw a pie in everyone's face! Thank you to everyone who donated.

The MPHS golf team is having its first annual golf outing! All proceeds benefit the 2025-2026 golf season. Get your team together and get signed up by June 1.

Miss Awe's 5th grade class did a Day of Service Project with Mrs. Block . We would like to thank Lincoln IGA and Lincoln Walmart for their $100 contributions for the project. The kids put together approximately 40 "celebration kits" that included : 9x13 aluminum pans, cake mixes, icing, sprinkles, candles, and a can of lemon lime soda (to be used in place of egg and oil for the cake). The kits included directions on how to use the soda as a replacement in case individuals did not have eggs or oil in their homes. These kits were donated to Lincoln/Logan Food Pantry on 5/5/25. The kids have been learning about "service", generosity and kindness in our SEL group. They truly loved doing this project and their generosity and service was greatly appreciated by the Food Pantry staff. ~Tara Block, LCSW, TCSEA School Social Worker
