We will have our 1st open gym sessions this week. We will meet on Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 - 6:00. Please have your Topper wear their reversible practice jersey each night. I do have some additional practice jerseys for those who do not have one. If your 4th thru 7th grade daughter is interested in playing this summer/fall of 2026, they are encouraged to participate. 🎩 🏀

We missed two VERY important days last week while we were on Spring Break—Paraprofessionals Day and School Librarian Day—and we don’t want that to go unrecognized! 💜💛
Our paraprofessionals go above and beyond each and every day. Their patience, dedication, and care make such a difference in the lives of our students, and we are so proud and thankful for everything they do.
And a special shoutout to Mrs. Charron, our amazing school librarian! She pours her heart into our library and our students, always going the extra mile to create a welcoming and engaging space for learning.
We appreciate all of you more than words can say—thank you for all that you do! 📚✨

4/2: Track Meet Canceled
The JH track meet scheduled for today at PORTA has been canceled due to the rain they have already received and the threat of storms throughout the day.
We may be on Spring Break, but we couldn’t resist sharing a laugh before the week is over! 😄

We have several students who have used their 9 parent call ins for the year. Notices will be coming out letting you know of excessive absences. Here is a review of our policy that can be found in the student handbook.
An excused absence requested by a parent without a medical statement (which all count in the 9 allotted per year for each student) can be defined as, but is not limited to:
Students absent due to a valid cause as per Illinois school code law as requested by parent notification (see above).
Up to 5 mental health days as confirmed by parent notification (noting that a conference with the counselor will occur after the 2nd mental health day is taken to develop a plan of action based on the student’s mental health needs)
Illness confirmed only by a note from a parent/guardian.
Medical appointments or illness verified by a medical note are excused absences and do not count against the 9 allotted absences per school year.
After the 9 allotted days all days will be unexcused unless a doctor's note is provided. Please know how important attendance is!! We miss your child when they are not at school. We do know there is a lot of illness going around. Please end the school year strong!
