8th graders have been reading “The Giver.” Today the students tried to “see beyond” like Jonas was able to see colors that others in the community were unable to see. They had fun trying to see the hidden images.

Students in reading have been working hard to analyze the meaning of the poem, “The Song Of The Shirt.” Today they worked in small groups to summarize the poem.

Any parents of students in 5th - 8th grade that are interested in participating in Jr. High Track and Field will need to join "MPGS Track and Field" on Team App. I will be posting information about the upcoming 2021 season. Please email me if you have any questions at janderso@mtpulaski.k12.il.us.

Since we couldn’t have solo and ensemble this year, Mt. Pulaski choir (also known as forte forte) had our own performance on Thursday during chorus class. We performed our song that we have been working on since we got back from Christmas break with piano and had a judge give us comments over zoom. All students were six feet apart and wearing masks during performance. The choir got a division 1 and got medals for their awesome performance. A special thanks to Becky Kunken for being our piano accompaniment and for Jonathan Parker for being our judge for this event.
